About
Year: 2022-2026
Studio Sorted has been the long-term branding and design partner for India Bike Week since 2022, building the festival’s visual identity across five consecutive editions in partnership with 70 EMG. The collaboration spans annual festival identities, campaign systems, environmental branding, motion graphics, sponsor integrations, merchandise design, and a complete rebrand of India Bike Week in 2025 alongside the yearly festival campaign rollout.

Over the years, the partnership evolved from festival graphics into a large-scale experiential branding system designed to function across physical environments, digital campaigns, stage experiences, social media ecosystems, merchandise, creator culture, and sponsor integrations. Studio Sorted approached India Bike Week not as a yearly event campaign, but as a growing cultural property requiring long-term visual consistency, adaptability, and recall.

Building A Festival Identity That Evolves Every Year

Festival branding exists in constant motion. Unlike conventional brands, festivals need to evolve every year while remaining emotionally recognisable to returning audiences. Identity systems need to function across digital communication, physical environments, motion graphics, merchandise, artist announcements, sponsorship integrations, and audience-generated content — often simultaneously.

For India Bike Week, the challenge was creating an identity system capable of growing alongside the festival itself while still retaining the raw energy associated with biking culture in India.

Studio Sorted developed scalable festival branding systems inspired by race graphics, touring culture, motorsport aesthetics, biker patches, DIY visual language, vintage decals, and high-energy typography. The goal was never just visual excitement. The goal was recognisability, adaptability, and cultural recall across multiple editions and touchpoints.
The branding system was designed to scale across:
- stage graphics
- environmental branding
- social media campaigns
- festival merchandise
- rider communication
- digital-first content
- sponsor integrations
- festival signage
- print campaigns
- motion graphics
- experiential installations

This allowed every edition of India Bike Week to feel distinct while still belonging to a larger visual ecosystem audiences could immediately recognise.

India Bike Week 2022: Reintroducing Festival Energy

The 2022 edition focused on rebuilding excitement and community around the India Bike Week experience through a bold, movement-heavy visual identity system designed for both physical and digital environments.

Studio Sorted created the core festival visual language including the main campaign poster, adaptable graphic systems, animated date units, typography hierarchies, colour systems, textures, and graphic assets that shaped the overall identity of the festival. Alongside the main campaign identity, the system expanded into flyer campaigns, social media templates, video templates, print advertisements, festival survival kits, and naming systems for different festival zones.

The visual direction leaned into loud graphic compositions, layered typography, motorsport-inspired visuals, and raw festival energy designed to reflect the spirit of Indian motorcycling culture without becoming overly polished or corporate.

IBW 2023: Expanding Into Experiential Branding

By 2023, the partnership expanded beyond visual identity into campaign storytelling and experiential branding systems. Studio Sorted developed the festival’s tone of voice, manifesto, campaign narrative, tagline systems, and communication structure alongside the broader event identity.

The identity system extended across large-scale hoardings, ride kits, merchandise collections, print campaigns, integrated sponsor identities, and festival-wide communication assets. Integrated logo systems were developed for collaborations involving Gulf Oil, Harley-Davidson, and various India Bike Week festival properties, ensuring sponsor integrations felt embedded within the festival identity rather than disconnected advertising placements.

As the scale of the festival expanded, the branding system became increasingly modular and adaptable. The identity needed to function equally effectively across giant environmental graphics, rider apparel, digital-first communication, and real-time social content being shared during the festival itself.

IBW 2024: Building Long-Term Cultural Recall

The 2024 edition focused on strengthening India Bike Week’s recognisability as a long-term cultural property rather than just a yearly event campaign. Studio Sorted expanded the identity system into a broader experiential ecosystem involving campaign strategy, animation systems, merchandise, environmental branding, transition assets, hoardings, and festival-wide communication frameworks.

The visual identity became increasingly system-driven, allowing the festival to maintain stronger continuity across years while still evolving visually for new audiences and themes. Typography systems, motion language, colour behaviour, and graphic structures were refined to work across physical and digital touchpoints at scale.

The collaboration also explored broader cultural activations and experiential ideas surrounding the festival itself, including artist collaborations, installations, workshops, reveal films, and festival merchandise experiences.

At this stage, the branding no longer behaved like isolated campaign graphics. It had evolved into a scalable festival identity ecosystem.

Rebranding India Bike Week In 2025

2025 marked the largest evolution in the partnership as Studio Sorted led the rebrand of India Bike Week while simultaneously creating the annual festival campaign identity. The challenge was not simply to refresh the visuals. The rebrand needed to evolve the perception of India Bike Week itself while retaining the emotional familiarity and energy the festival had built over the years.

Studio Sorted developed a more scalable master identity system designed to function across future editions, original festival IPs, merchandise, digital platforms, sponsor integrations, and evolving audience behaviour. The scope included logo design, logo animation, identity systems for original festival properties, typography hierarchies, colour systems, social media ecosystems, and large-scale campaign rollouts.

The goal was to create a brand system capable of feeling more iconic, recognisable, and future-facing without losing the rebellious spirit associated with motorcycling culture.

Importantly, the rebrand was designed alongside the yearly festival identity rather than independently. This created a layered system where the master brand could remain consistent while yearly festival campaigns retained enough flexibility to evolve visually over time.

IBW 2026: Evolving The Festival System Further

By 2026, the collaboration had evolved into long-term identity stewardship focused on continuously adapting the festival’s visual ecosystem for future growth. Studio Sorted developed the core campaignable visual direction for the edition, including the key visual concept, festival theme systems, adaptable graphic units, animated assets, typography hierarchies, colour systems, poster campaigns, and scalable social media templates.

Rather than treating each edition as a disconnected campaign, the focus shifted toward maintaining a living identity system capable of evolving alongside the festival itself.

This long-term approach allowed India Bike Week to continue growing as a recognisable cultural brand across both physical and digital spaces.

Festival Branding Beyond Graphics

Festival branding is often misunderstood as poster design or promotional graphics. In reality, large-scale festival branding involves building systems capable of holding together thousands of moving touchpoints across physical environments, digital platforms, motion assets, merchandise, sponsorship ecosystems, and audience participation.

The strongest festival brands eventually stop behaving like events and start behaving like cultural worlds.

Global festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, and Primavera Sound have all evolved through long-term visual stewardship where branding becomes inseparable from audience memory, merchandise culture, and digital recall.

India Bike Week represents a similar evolution within the Indian festival landscape.Studio Sorted’s work across five consecutive editions reflects the studio’s broader approach toward festival branding, experiential identity systems, entertainment branding, and cultural IP building: creating scalable visual ecosystems designed to evolve over time rather than temporary event campaigns designed for a single year.
