About
Year: 2025
When the beloved Jayanagar-based Isobel Coffee House decided to open its second outlet in Lavelle Road, it wasn’t just about a new location. It was about scaling its soul. Isobel had already built a quiet following for its gentle hospitality, thoughtful coffee curation, and inviting space. But with a second outlet came the need for a stronger identity system that could retain the heart of Isobel while creating new memories in a different part of the city. That’s where Studio Sorted stepped in.

A Rebrand Rooted in Everyday Kindness
Our approach was simple: don’t reinvent Isobel. Reveal it. We worked closely with the founders to understand the spirit that made the first cafe so beloved.

Their answer? “People come here for kindness and comfort.” So we created a visual system that was warm, soft, and full of micro-moments that rewarded attention.

Logo Refinement: We retained the original name and monogram but reimagined it with gentler curves and subtle strength.
Color System: A palette inspired by soft linens, flushed cheeks, and candlelight. Familiar, human, and deeply comforting.
Packaging: Every bag, napkin, and cup became a moment of storytelling, from tiny taglines to poetic one-liners.
Wayfinding: Designed to be intuitive, soft-spoken, and never intrusive, like a kind friend guiding you around their home.

Before / After:
A Story in Contrast
The original Jayanagar space was adored for its cozy and accommodative vibe—but it lacked a recall-worthy branding that pushed people to perceive the cafe as low quality. The new identity brought in a recognizable face and an effortlessly reliable design system, that instantly gave the cafe a gloal appeal.

In a city teeming with Instagrammable cafes, Isobel needed more than aesthetics. It needed soul.

Today, the new Lavelle Road outlet is fast becoming a central destination for:
- Client meetings that need peace without pretension
- Creators looking for natural light and soft textures
- Catchups that feel like slow mornings and shared toasts

“We didn’t change the heart. We gave it a home it could grow in.”

With a brand identity that whispers instead of shouts, Isobel is now confidently expanding—without ever forgetting where it came from.

Studio Sorted: Reimagining Hospitality Branding
This rebrand wasn’t just about visuals. It was about understanding. What was, and what could be.

Studio Sorted helped turn a neighborhood favourite into a citywide icon. We brought together identity, packaging, digital storytelling, interior graphics, and community-building into one coherent system.

Isobel is now one of Bangalore’s most talked-about cafes. And we’re proud to have helped shape the story.

“We wanted to create a space that feels soft, grounded, and full of warmth. Sorted gave us a system that scales that feeling.” — Team Isobel

If you're building the next iconic cafe, coffee bar, or hospitality experience—Studio Sorted is ready to walk with you, one warm detail at a time.
